Odisha has won the Geographical Indication rights over Odisha Rasagola. Almost after an year when West Bengal walked away with the GI tag for West Bengal Rasgolla, Odisha reopened the claim for its own variety.

Now the Odisha Small Industries Corporation Limited (OSIC) will be registered holder of the GI tag and will enjoy all legal and intellectual priority rights available for the product.

All 30 districts of Odisha will be entitled for the use of the GI tag to the product.

A sweet victory for Odisha indeed.
