Cuttack: Everyone has their own way of expressing love, but nothing beats the ‘desi nukkad chai’ date. Of course, typical dates have their own charm, but what’s better than spending an evening sipping a cup of tea while the cool breeze brings along love in its pockets! Here are some of our favourite Chai points in Cuttack:

Bichi/Bijaya Chai – You can spot this opposite the Fire Station at Buxi Bazar, Cuttack. A little shack with just the right flavours usually makes for the best morning hop. However, the thick consistency, and creamy flavours will make your Valentine evening even more cute.

Prakash Rao Chai – One of the most popular tea points in Cuttack, Prakash Rao is better known for his philanthrophic activities. Almost 50% of his income goes towards educating the underprivileged children. He was even honoured by the government recently with the fourth highest civilian award- Padmashree. He serves a special masala red tea with ingredients like black salt, black pepper, ginger and more. You can find it opposite Samaj office in Buxi Bazaar. What better than contributing to a good cause while on your date? 😉

Gaya Bhai Chai – One of the oldest points, Gaya bhai’s chai stall has been there at Nayasadak since last 50 years. His father started the tea point. If you are keen on tea, then this is the right place for you! What’s special about their tea, is the technique. He puts in all the regular ingredients but the tea comes out very different and unique. The tea is always on boil, which enhances the taste, locals suggest. So, brew your love the way they brew their tea, and be sure to mesmerize your lover!

Silu Bhai Chai – At the Cantonment Road- Cuttack, his tea attracts people from all parts of Cuttack every evening. A lady comes from five kilometers away everyday in an auto to taste his tea. Just the regular tea, with a pint of love and a tea spoon of creativity makes his tea stall a popular ‘Khatti’ adda. Take your man/woman to this spot and spend an evening knowing each others’ circle. It might seem stupid, but is a great way to start a relationship.

Munu bhai Chai – Also known as Mumu ‘mausa’ tea point, he stands at the Balijatra field. He is popular for the Gua ghia cha- which includes Buffallo milk, khoya, omfed milk and is prepared on wood fire adding several layers of flavours and aroma to it. His tea is revered in Cuttack for its delicious way of preparation.

Make your love sweeter with this incredible cup of delicious tea!
